About Me
Here is a little bit about me. My full name is James Brodrick; however, since school, most of my friends have just called me Brod. As my passion for the water developed into an obvious obsession, I picked up the nickname Captain Brod.
There is nothing remarkable about me. I am a middle-aged father of two amazing daughters, with a wife who puts up with my annoying obsessions, and supportive parents who made sure I never went without in life.
The Next Generation in Weymouth
Thanks to my wonderful parents, I have been lucky enough to have been boating nearly all my life, making the hour-and-a-half journey to Weymouth after school finished on a Friday afternoon. Now that I have a family of my own, I have taken over the baton and endeavor to give them the life that I have been lucky enough to live.
I Built My Website for You
Since moving to Weymouth, I find myself often talking to locals, visiting yachtsmen, tourists, and friends who come to stay. Many people have similar questions about the area, places to visit, things to do, where they should anchor, what the best restaurant is, and who can get work done on a boat.
I have built up a wealth of knowledge and made some excellent friends and contacts over the years. I enjoy nothing more than passing on what I have learned. I hope that you find this website entertaining and useful, and that it enables you to make the most of Weymouth and Portland.
